About me
I am in my 21st year teaching, and this is my second year as a TRT with Portsmouth Public Schools (and I LOVE IT). Before this, I was a band director with Hampton City Schools for nineteen years. I was the band director at Bethel High School for three years and Tarrant Middle School for sixteen years. I am still active in music and teach high school drumline with my husband at Great Bridge High School in Chesapeake. As a band director, I loved utilizing instructional technology with my students, and I regularly provided training sessions on various tech resources for my colleagues. I love and enjoy watching students engage and find their spark while learning! Then, add all of the instructional technology resources to that; the possibilities are endless. It is so inspiring!
