About me
Rose is a librarian at Potomac Senior High School in Prince William County, Virginia. She taught high school History and Social Studies for 20 years before becoming a librarian in 2016. She has a bachelor's degree in History and certification to teach 6-12 Social Studies (University of Mary Washington). She has a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Design (George Mason University) and a Master's degree in School Librarianship (Longwood University). She achieved National Board Certification in 2003, and recertified in 2013 (AYA History and Social Studies). She is passionate about helping students however they need, placing emphasis on teaching literacy, research and technology skills, and promoting reading for pleasure. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, as well as reading, traveling, and doing crafts.
