With over a decade of experience teaching in both Chicago public and private schools, specializing in elementary education and early childhood development, Nikki brings a wealth of expertise to the education field. Recognized as Teacher of the Year in 2021 and Reading Teacher of the Year in 2019, Nikki is known for a commitment to innovation and student-centered learning. Recently honored as the Instructional Technology Coach of the Year at VBCPS 2024 and the Outstanding Coach of the Year at VSTE 2024. VSTE stands for the Virginia Society for Technology in Education. It is an organization that focuses on promoting excellence in education through the integration of technology and providing professional development opportunities for educators in Virginia. Nikki has played a pivotal role in shaping educational technology integration strategies. Notably, Nikki contributed significantly to the development of the VBCPS digital citizenship curriculum, emphasizing responsible and ethical technology use. Passionate about fostering creativity and a love for learning, Nikki advocates for project-based learning and enjoys designing sprints that encourage hands-on, collaborative problem-solving both in-person and online.
