I am an ITRT in Norfolk Public Schools with 28 years of classroom experience as a high school math teacher. I teach AP Statistics part-time, emphasizing innovative teaching strategies like Building Thinking Classrooms and Test Talk to engage students. My background in industrial engineering and experience in brand marketing and advertising have fostered my passion for graphic design, photography, and mathematics.
As a lifelong learner, I am deeply interested in the evolving role of artificial intelligence in education. I was part of the team that developed an AI Canvas course for Norfolk Public Schools, aimed at helping educators effectively integrate AI tools into their classrooms. My commitment to professional growth also includes certifications like the ISTE Artificial Intelligence Explorations for Educators program, which further fueled my enthusiasm for AI and its applications in teaching.
